Embleton View is seeking to appoint a Pastoral & Operational Lead to work in our small Independent Special School in Darlington - judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted.

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen to join Embleton View as we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Pastoral & Operational Lead.

As part of an innovative team, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, dedicated and a team player. Someone who is nurturing and an excellent listener, providing students with a calm and safe environment where they feel able to share their worries and concerns. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills and is able to work effectively alongside staff, parents and external agencies.

They will support in delivery of our innovative and varied curriculum and targeted individual programmes to inspire and motivate a small group of students aged 11-16 with SEN, particularly SEMH and/or ASD.

Suitable candidates will have:

• Experience supporting students with SEN, particularly SEMH and/or ASD
• Experience of line management
• A commitment to high standards and the ability to inspire students and staff

Full UK driving licence and own vehicle with business insurance essential.

Starting salary is £29,000, rising to £31,000 in increments on achieving sufficient competencies at annual appraisals.
