We are looking to recruit 1 Early Help Family Worker for 22.2 hours or 3 days to be agreed. The role is to support families with children and young people 0-19 within Northumberland's Supporting Families framework.

Salary for the 22.2 hours role will be £14587 - 16199

Ideal candidates are passionate, hard working and dedicated to helping improve the lives of children and their families.

This role will be worked agilely and flexibly. Base for mileage and office facilities is Ashington and/or Bedlington Children’s Centre, to be determined, with travel expected to families anywhere within the Central Locality, which includes Ashington, Bedlington Newbiggin, Morpeth and the surrounding area.
As you would expect, we are looking for self motivated and responsible applicants with good communication skills. You will enjoy working as part of a team, but also be able to use your own initiative and work independently to manage your commitments.

Competence in delivering training/programmes, completing assessments , working with individual family members and supporting them together; is desirable. You will be able to work effectively alongside our partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.

A minimum of Level 3 childcare qualification or equivalent is essential, as is a good depth of understanding and knowledge of child/young person development. You need to show knowledge and experience of the Early Help Assessment process and be able to demonstrate an ability to chair TAF meetings.
