Lead IT Engineer

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Lead IT Engineer to our Trust’s Central Team. The successful candidate will form part of Senior IT Leadership Team within the Trust. This is an exciting new vacancy where the postholder will play a pivotal role in the future development and operations of our Trust IT Service.
Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust was established in February 2016, currently with eight schools within the Trust. These are: St Joseph’s Catholic Academy - Hebburn, St Mary’s Catholic Primary School – Jarrow, St Wilfrid’s RC College – South Shields and Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School – Peterlee, St Aidan’s Catholic Academy – Sunderland, St Anthony’s Girls Catholic Academy – Sunderland, St Godric’s RCVA Primary School – Thornley and St Mary’s RCVA Primary School – Wingate.
The Trust is in an exciting stage of growth. You will also work with our partner school St. Bede’s Catholic Comprehensive School - Peterlee.
The Diocese has a growth plan for our Trust to serve South Tyneside, Sunderland and East Durham, with a total of 34 schools into the Trust by July 2022
Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust safeguards and protects its students and staff by being committed to respond in accordance with South Tyneside Child Protection Procedures. Enhanced DBS checks are mandatory for all school staff.
The successful candidate must be able to meet the travel requirements of the post.
Salary: Band 6, SCP 28, £32,234 per annum
Start Date: as soon as possible
Contract: 37 hours per week
