North Tyneside sport and leisure are looking for enthusiastic leisure assistants to join our teams at Waves and Tynemouth pool.
Waves features a leisure pool benefiting from an aquatic play area, 3 racing slides and the highly popular wave machine. We also have a multi-functional fitness suite, dance studio, soft play, multi-purpose meeting room, spin studio and spa facilities.
Tynemouth Pool opened in 1971, and has benefitted from significant investment over a number of years. The facility consists of a 25 metre swimming pool, boom pool, teaching pool and diving boards as well as a Contours gym and a dance studio/multi-purpose room.
We are currently seeking the following staff:
Waves
1 x full time leisure assistant. Working 37 hours per week on a 3 week shift pattern including evenings and weekends.
1 x part time leisure assistant. Working 30 hours per week on a 3 week shift pattern including evenings and weekends.
Tynemouth pool
2 x full time leisure assistants. Working 37 hours per week on a 2 weeks shift pattern including evenings and weekends.
The above 4 posts qualify for shift allowance and weekend enhancements.
Tynemouth pool
1 x leisure assistant working 6 hours per week, 3 each on a Thursday and Friday evening.
Applicants should have excellent customer care skills, use their initiative, provide an efficient and friendly service and be able to work as part of a team and on their own.
They will supervise and ensure the safety of the public at all times.
