About the Role
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council has an exciting new opportunity within the Business Improvement Team based at Central Depot, Dormanstown. The team are responsible for a range of administrative tasks including the operation of a busy fleet reception, vehicle workshops, trade waste administration and waste services support.
You will gain valuable work experience supporting the team in the operation of Fleet Reception which will include answering phones, face to face contact, using computerised systems as well as supporting the administration of waste service tasks including bulky waste and bin deliveries.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, positive individual who is self-motivated and able to work using their own initiative as well as being a team player. The successful candidate will be committed to providing an excellent service and be willing to learn and develop their knowledge.
This is a fixed-term contract for 18 months. National Minimum Wage for your age will apply after the first year.

During your apprenticeship you will be working towards the nationally recognised Business Administrator, level 3 qualification at Redcar Adult Learning, based in Redcar College.
Apprenticeship opportunities are open to anyone over the age of 16 years old with no upper age limit. Applicants who have already achieved Business Administration Level 3 or higher will be ineligible to apply.
You will need to have a minimum of:
Grade 4 (equivalent to Grade C or above) at GCSE English and Maths or functional skills level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
You will need to be committed/willing to work towards the level 3 qualification.
