The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating Northumberland's process for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for all Looked After Children (LAC), resulting in quality assured and outcome focused plans for learners 0-25 years. They will take responsibility for the development of good practice and expertise in the area of LAC within the SEND Assessment, Monitoring and Review Team. They will lead on Annual Reviews for LAC ensuring that they align as far as possible with other statutory meetings such as Personal Education Plan (PEP) reviews, Strategy meetings and Care Team meetings. There is an expectation that the candidate will be competent at working across partner agencies including schools, colleges, Early Years settings, Northumberland Virtual School and Social Care Services and be able to promote effective communication and provision of services for individual LAC within statutory processes and at SEN Support level. The SEND Team is based at County Hall, but the post holder will work closely with the Virtual School and other educational establishments throughout the county and therefore some travelling will be required.

The salary for this position is £28672 - 32234
