About the Role
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council has an exciting new opportunity within the Recovery and Independence Team based at Low Grange Health Village in South Bank. As the Business Support Apprentice you will support the team administratively and tasks will include answering the telephone, producing accurate records and documents, including emails, letters and files, demonstrating good communication skills, whether it be face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms through a variety of way including the use of our case management system (full training will be given).

The Recovery and Independence Team supports people at home to reable them to become independent and reach goals they want to achieve before their illness, operation etc. This is a short-term service up to six weeks. We also provide rapid response to individuals who are at crisis point and need immediate support to keep the person at home. The service we provide is free and it has proven we make significant savings in the longer term packages of care.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, positive individual who is self-motivated and able to work using their own initiative as well as being a team player. The successful candidate will be committed to providing an excellent service and be willing to learn and develop their knowledge.

Apprenticeship Qualification
During your apprenticeship you will be working towards the nationally recognised Business Administrator, level 3 qualification at Redcar Adult Learning, based in Redcar College.

Essential Requirements
Apprenticeship opportunities are open to anyone over the age of 16 years old with no upper age limit.

You will need to have a minimum of:
Grade 4 (equivalent to Grade C or above) at GCSE English and Maths or functional skills level 2 qualification in English and Maths.

You will need to be committed/willing to work towards the level 3 qualification.

This is a fixed-term contract for 18 months. National Minimum Wage for your age will apply after the first year.
