We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic class teacher to join our hard working and successful team at Hipsburn Primary school. The post will start from January 2021.

We are looking for someone who is:
-Dedicated to working in close partnership with children, staff and parents within our caring school and village community
-A creative and enthusiastic teacher
-Flexible and willing to take the initiative
-Organised and prepared to work tirelessly to find the answers to any challenge
-An effective classroom practitioner with high expectations of achievement and behaviour
-A highly motivated person who can demonstrate recent successful delivery of teaching, learning and assessment across the primary age range, but in particular EYFS

The successful applicant will have:
-Responsibility for teaching a class of Reception children to become enthusiastic, resilient and successful learners; ensuring equality of opportunity for all.
-The ability to provide pastoral care for the class, treating children with dignity and build relationships rooted in mutual respect.
-Experience of teaching in Early Years providing excellent provision for all pupils.
-A secure understanding of assessment for learning.
-Experience of planning flexibly and creatively to meet the needs of the pupils.
-Experience of using a wide range of assessment strategies, including teacher-pupil, peer and self- assessment.
-An excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum / EYFS

We would be particularly interested in a candidate that has:
-The ability to teach Read Write Inc. with confidence.
-Experience of the Tapestry Programme or using on-line Learning Journals.
-The ability to teach outdoor learning.
-The skills and / or experience that would contribute to the school’s extended school opportunities.

Please note that all salaries quoted are for a full-time teacher and will be paid on a pro-rata basis of the full-time equivalent for this post.
