Gibside School is an Outstanding Special School providing high quality education for pupils aged 2-11 years with severe learning difficulties and other complex needs including autism and profound and multiple learning difficulties. The school currently operates on a split site (Whickham & Blaydon) and successful candidates will be expected to work at either site. The school will be moving into a brand-new school building in the centre of Gateshead early in March’20.

We wish to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic teacher with a positive attitude and sense of humour. You must have high expectations to provide a challenging and enjoyable education for our pupils. You must be able to work as part of a team, including multidisciplinary professionals and parents/carers. We are looking for someone who is committed and enthusiastic, with good organisational and communication skills.
