Cleveland Police are looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced leader for the post of Head of Information Management. This is a key role in Force where you will be responsible for managing the Information Management functions, including Data Protection, Vetting, Information Security and Data Quality.

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who will thrive in an environment where they are confident and able to work independently and without influence, in order to provide decision making and assessments on a range of Information Management areas, being directly accountable to the Chief Constable as the Data Controller.

As the Head of Information Management you will be responsible for ensuring the Force is compliant with all relevant legislation. You will lead on strategies which fall under Information Management directed by legislation including the Data Protection Act 2018, which incorporates both GDPR and the Law Enforcement Directive and adherence to Information Rights. It is therefore essential that you are experienced in interpreting legislation and introducing changes to working practices

Whilst possessing a broad knowledge of the Data Protection Act 2018, you will also have excellent communication skills enabling you to deliver briefings, and deal effectively with all levels of staff within the organisation and partner agencies.
