We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic and dynamic Equine Management Groom Technician/Instructor to join the Land and Outdoor Academy at our Kirkley Hall campus. This is a full-time position incorporating a dual role. Our vision is to continue to develop the provision within our Equine area, increase student numbers, and continue to improve the quality of our learners’ experience.

The successful candidate will be an experienced, committed and passionate individual with a strong practical equine management background. This dual role gives a unique opportunity to further develop an interest in teaching skills. The Groom/Technician role entails responsibility for daily care of horses and supporting the equine lecturing team in the preparation of teaching resources. The instructor role entails planning and delivering practical sessions with the Equine students based at Kirkley Hall within a range of courses from level one to HE dependent upon qualifications. The two roles will be integrated into a full-time working week which will include some weekend work. The successful candidate should be committed to supporting students to work within the Equine industry to ensure that all students gain an outstanding experience.

The successful candidate will be qualified to BHS stage 3 (or equivalent) and ideally hold, or be prepared to work towards a teaching qualification. Car driver essential.
