Consett Academy is seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join our student support team. Cover Supervisor - Grade 3 - £17,681 - £19,521 actual salary to reflect 37 hours per week, TTO

You will be required to look after classes of students in the Academy and conduct pre-planned lessons for absent teachers, providing appropriate guidance and advice as required.

Good verbal and communication skills are essential, together good classroom management. It is essential you are able to work using your own initiative, under pressure to achieve quality work within competing deadlines. You will be required to work flexibly according to the needs of the Academy.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate previous experience of working with young people in an education setting showing a good understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities. As well as excellent communication skills, you must have resilience and empathy and be able to build effective working relationships with all students and colleagues.
