Highways Operative / Driver based at Morpeth
An opportunity of a permanent full time role within the Highways delivery team has become available, this will involve a number of Highways duties including assisting the a Skilled Highways Operative to deliver Highways Maintenance Civil schemes covering paving, kerbing, drainage, fencing, block paving, groundworks and other tasks related to the delivery of Highway Maintenance Schemes. The role will be based at Coopies Field depot within the delivery area of Castle Morpeth.
You must have a City & Guilds Craft Certificate in Roadwork, NVQ Level 2 (or working towards) or an equivalent qualification or significant industry experience along with basic numeracy and literacy skills. You will have previous experience of manual work and the physical ability to engage in heavy manual work as much of the time will be spent walking, stooping, lifting and carrying.
