The Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle has a growth plan for Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust to serve South Tyneside, Sunderland and East Durham, with a total of 34 schools in the Trust by July 2022.

Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust was established in February 2016, currently there are eight schools within the Trust.

These are: St Joseph’s Catholic Academy - Hebburn, St Mary’s Catholic Primary School – Jarrow, St Wilfrid’s RC College – South Shields and Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School – Peterlee, St Aidan’s Catholic Academy – Sunderland, St Anthony’s Girls Catholic Academy – Sunderland, St Godric’s Catholic Primary School – Thornley and St Mary’s Catholic Primary School – Wingate.

The schools due to join this term are St Aloysius RC Federation – Hebburn, St Leonards RC Primary School – Silksworth, St Joseph's RC Primary School - Jarrow and St. Bede’s Catholic Comprehensive School - Peterlee currently consulting to join the Trust.

Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust safeguards and protects its students and staff by being committed to respond in accordance with South Tyneside Child Protection Procedures. Enhanced DBS checks are mandatory for all school staff.

Start Date: 1 January 2021
Salary: Band 5, £22,183 per annum, pro rata
Contract: 30 hours per week, term time only
Shift pattern: 7:30am – 2pm, Monday – Friday

Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Cook who will based at St. Aloysius RC Federation, Hebburn. You will be responsible for all aspects of kitchen organisation in order to provide a consistently high-quality catering service.
