Following the promotion of 2 Practice Managers and the progression of 1 Practice Manager we want to recruit to the following vacancies.
Practice Manager - Integrated Safeguarding Interventions Team (ISIT)
Practice Manager - Supporting and Strengthening Families Service (SSF)
Practice Manager - Connected Carers
Integrated Safeguarding Interventions Team
ISIT provides our multi-agency response and assessment service to children in need, which is rated good by OFSTED. We have a well-developed supportive management team committed to recognising our strengths and creating opportunities for the team to enhance their skills and knowledge. Children’s needs and rights are at the heart of ISIT. The service’s focus to ensure that children’s voices are embedded within every assessment and drive our support has contributed to our success in creating a strong service.
We take pride in our work to support children and their families to ensure our; assessments are of good quality, the interventions are timely and we continually look for how we can improve our service.
The successful candidate will be supported to develop a tailored CPD plan to support the service and the candidate’s needs.
We are interested in hearing from people who would be interested in leading one of our assessment teams or the multi-agency team.
Supporting and Strengthening Families Team
SSF is the care management part of our service, rated Good by Ofsted. SSF is a dedicated service, who are committed to improving outcomes for children, young people and their families through the provision of high quality social work intervention and child centred practices. Developing effective relationships with children, young people and their families to achieve sustainable outcomes is at the very heart of what we do. The role is to lead one of six social work teams involved in care planning for our children with a strong focus upon permanence planning.
Our Connected Carers Service has grown from strength to strength since it was formed, supporting Care Planning Teams the service engages with potential kinship carers as part of contingency planning, or in crisis to assess and support family and friends carers to enable them to provide care for children within their family. Alongside the assessment the Connected Carers Service offers ongoing support to kinship carers throughout the child’s journey, including 1-2-1 support, facilitating support groups, training for carers and engaging with young people. This has enabled more family placements that are sustainable and meet children and young people’s needs.
The role of Connected Carers Practice Manager is to lead the service operationally and to contribute strategically to further develop the service. Nationally there is real focus on improving the offer for kinship carers and the Practice Manager will be required to be abreast of developments and ready to adapt the service in line with local and national change.
If you have experience in supporting carers and young people in placement and feel passionately about supporting family networks to meet the needs of children and can support social care staff to ensure the offer to kinship carers improves and sustains kinship care then we are interested in hearing from you.
