Care Workers to support the Vulnerable in County Durham

Durham County Council are looking for applications from anyone who would be interested in forming part of a casual bank to undertake care and support work as and when required to support our most vulnerable.

Successful applicants would be held on a casual bank of workers to be deployed by the Council as required, either to support Council Services or the Independent Care Sector on behalf of the Council.

Adult social care provides care and support to vulnerable residents across the County and care homes provide 24hr care to the most vulnerable. These are often very elderly people with a range of complex needs.

To ensure we can continue to deliver critical care services during Covid-19 pandemic, we are looking to develop a bank of casual staff we would train, who we could call upon should such a need arise.

If you want to apply for the position of Care Worker, with the Independent Care Homes Sector (ICHS), follow the link below and select the 'Self-registration to apply to the ICHS' button on the Login Instruction page.
