Permanent part-time vacancies are available in the following Leisure Centres:
Spennymoor
Newton Aycliffe
Woodhouse Close, Bishop Auckland

Casual as and when required opportunities are also available at Leisure Centres across County Durham.

We are seeking to appoint Swim Teachers to deliver the ASA’s learn to swim programme. The post holders will be responsible for the delivery of quality swimming lessons and will assist the Aquatics Co-ordinator in the development of the programme.

The ideal candidates will be self-motivated with strong communications skills and have previous experience of teaching swimming to a wide variety of clients.

Required qualifications:
ASA Level 2 Teaching Aquatics Qualifications as well as a willingness to work towards and obtain the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches.

PLEASE NOTE : as part of the interview process all candidates will be expected to successfully complete the Durham County Council Swimming Teacher Interview Pool Test designed to assess the practical capabilities of the candidates.
