We are looking to recruit experienced, qualified social work practitioners on a casual basis who have evidence of continued professional development in Children's Social Work and are able to demonstrate an ability to work at an advanced social work level within the Emergency Duty Team.

The successful candidate will have the confidence, ability and skills to manage complex and high risk Children's safeguarding situations whilst working alone. This will be within out of normal office hours, weekends and bank holidays. They must feel confident deciding whether matters considered by the Emergency Duty Team, require an immediate safeguarding response, and be able to independently initiate this considering relevant legislation, policy and procedures whilst ensuring safe planning for children and their families.

In addition to this, the post holder will take responsibility for using resources out of hours and will assist in overseeing, supporting colleagues, both from within Together for Children and those working in partner agencies who share our safeguarding responsibilities to children and young people across the community.

This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
