The successful post-holder will become part of a small number of social workers working within social care direct.
In order to meet service user and other customer requirements in line with organisational standards and procedures it is expected that the successful post-holder may at times be required to work within the (CRU) Central Referral Unit and attend Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC)
We are looking for individuals with experience in a Health or Social Care setting and of working with client groups serviced by the Team. The individuals will need to have a good knowledge of adult safeguarding and be able to work confidently alongside the police and other partner agencies.
Duties of the post include responding to all enquiries from members of the public or people from other agencies particularly in relation to safeguarding or vulnerable adult concerns. These queries may require the officer to deal with the enquiry via a number of alternative methods other than telephone and it is expected that the individuals will have good IT and communication skills to enable them to undertake these duties.
Please note that Social Care Direct are currently open 6 days a week – this involves working on a rota basis covering the hours of 8am till 6pm Monday to Friday and Saturday morning 9am-2pm (which is worked on a rota basis currently of once every 9 weeks).
It is anticipated that interviews will be held w/c 25th January ,2021. (via teams video)

Degree in SW, Dip SW, CSS or CQSW or equivalent
(plus Social Work England registration)
