Supporting Sunderland residents to experience financial wellbeing and develop financial resilience is an important part of Sunderland City Council’s approach to Community Resilience

A three-year programme of activity funded via Public Health will deliver a range of activity to maximise resident access to information, advice and guidance that will contribute to financial wellbeing and as a result have a positive impact on people’s health .The programme will include work with partners to improve crisis support particularly around healthy food.

The programme will deliver a comprehensive and sustainable set of financial wellbeing and resilience products and campaigns underpinned by a widespread training and ongoing media/communications strategy based on a ‘To Do list’ for every Sunderland resident – regardless of income or employment status.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Resilience Co-ordinator, the post holder will be responsible for:

- Developing key products (web pages, campaigns and training materials)
- Information gathering, creation and maintenance
- Developing and co-ordinating partner and resident training
- Raising awareness, engagement and confidence around the key financial resilience themes, a communications programme / range of take up campaigns for residents /communities across the city through ongoing communications and campaigns

The post holder will be required to work collaboratively with colleagues in Public Health contributing to capacity building agendas and with a range of stakeholders to create relationships / training covering financial resilience as part of a wider health promotion agenda.

The postholder will be supported by two Financial Resilience Officers and should be able to demonstrate a positive approach to managing people to deliver a range of tasks and projects to timescale.
