The role
Working in the Housing Repairs and Maintanance Team, your role is to undertake Internal and External plumbing repairs to the Council's stock, public buildings and other premises. You will ensure adaquate stores,materials and equipment are available to undertake the necessary repairs and ensure that all work is completed on time and to a high standard.You will access whether any appliances represents a danger to the occupant and give advice to the occupant concerning the notice and the use of the appliance. You will ensure that a high level of customer care is adopted when undertaking any repair or construction work. You must be able to work unsupervised and be prepared to work outside of normal office hours, as required. You will be required to work on a call out rota. This post Involves travel to various locations throughout Northumberland therefore you must meet the transport requirements.

Essential requirements:
You will be educated to NVQ level 3 Plumbing ( or equivalent ) and HOLD a gas safety certificate.You will have a broard knowledge of building construction along with Health and Safety requirements associated with the trade. You must have experience of being a plumber ( Gas ) and of undertaking gas Installations with experience in a customer facing eviroment.
