The Adults & Communities Directorate consists of three strands, Adult Social Care, Community Development, and Public Health. Our aims are to continue to provide essential and highly valued services and to build capacity to enable local communities to make lasting change, improve quality of life and prosperity. As a directorate we lead on developing a culture of co-operation and co-production, respecting and nurturing the skills and talents of local people and enabling them to fulfil their potential.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Care System Support Team supporting a broad range of Council services. The successful candidates will be part of a creative, enthusiastic and dynamic team, committed to supporting the directorates to achieve the best for the people we serve.

We are keen to recruit two experienced officers to provide care system support and development across Adults & Communities and Childrens & Families to allow key systems to remain current and effective. These posts require expertise working between social workers, education professionals, key services and ICT to maximise the potential of all our care systems. The roles also offer support and insight to social workers and Heads of Services’ in terms of future development to compliment best practice social case management work.

These posts will offer additional capacity to the current team members in terms of getting the best from our systems; we would welcome applications with experience in relevant training and helpdesk style functions. There are opportunities in the Care System Support team to work across a range of service areas. You will receive excellent support and supervision, together with genuine opportunities for personal development.
