St Anthony of Padua Community Association is a registered charity and limited company with over 30 years’ experience providing a range of care services.

Our Day Care service has been running for over 30 years and is open 5 days a week Monday to Friday from 9.00am – 4.30pm based at our Centre on Welbeck Road in Walker. Our Day Centre provides a range of activities and opportunities tailored to individual needs and interests and is a highly valued service by both service users and any families/carers.

Our current Day Care Manager is retiring after 25 years, creating a rare opportunity within the business.

The Role…

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be a member of the organisation’s Senior Management Team.

As Day Care Manager working with the staff team and volunteers you will create an environment where service users feel welcomed and engaged, supporting the development of new friendships and improving outcomes.

You will be required to collaborate effectively with service users, Commissioners, Health & Social Care professionals and other stakeholders in the planning, delivery, and review of the Day Service.

You will have overall management responsibility for the referral, assessment and review processes ensuring you build professional relationships with both services users and any families/carers.

In consultation with service users and working with the team, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of a programme of activities which are innovative, fun, forward thinking and which encourage service user participation and enjoyment.

About You…

You will appreciate the important role that Day services play in improving outcomes for people. You will have proven experience in adult care and will be both innovative and ambitious in your expectations of the benefits that participating in a group setting can bring to people. You will have both a passion for working within adult care and the necessary leadership skills, energy and drive to make the Day Centre a place where people choose to attend.
