Teacher of Maths
MPS/UPS (plus an additional allowance of £4,784)
Permanent
Full Time
Required September 2021

It is an exciting time to be joining the Laidlaw Schools Trust. Having recently welcomed Sedgefield Community College, one of the North’s most successful and innovative schools, into our Trust, we are now about to realise another key development as we eagerly anticipate the summer opening of our own Teaching and Learning Development Centre, and the opportunities that this will bring as we work towards our aim of being one of the country’s highest performing multi-academy Trusts.

Successful recent alignment of Maths delivery at each of our academies has achieved the aim of creating significant Trust-wide consistency, and the confidence that student performance in Maths is on track to become a strength of Laidlaw Schools Trust. Teachers are now able to work across academies confident that schemes of work, assessment processes and delivery methods are seamlessly transferrable regardless of academy. For this reason, we are now in a position to appoint a central team of outstanding Maths teachers who are capable of operating in any Trust academy where the need arises to create additional capacity to more closely focus upon the needs of individuals or provide focused intervention for such students.

We welcome applications from teachers with a proven track record of success, who have the ability to engage and enthuse students with a love of Maths, coupled with the drive and determination necessary to ensure that students achieve their full potential.

In addition to completing an application form, please present a letter (no more than two sides of A4) detailing how your experience and successes to date have prepared you for the role you are applying for, and how you would ensure future success. Please indicate how recent classes taught have performed in externally accredited courses.
