Post Title: Residential Worker
Salary: Grade 7, £23,541 - £27,041 per annum

This is a rare opportunity to join our residential team which provides respite care for children and young people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and complex health needs aged between 5 and 18.

We are looking to fill a Residential Worker post on a permanent basis. You will work 32 hours per week during term time, increasing to 37 hours during school holiday periods. The role will involve working a range of shifts including weekdays, evenings and weekends and both waking night and sleep in duties.

You will work as part of a dedicated staff team to ensure the children and young people are provided with the best care possible. This will involve offering close personal care, where you will be required to undertake moving and handling, peg feeding, tube feeding, and specialist health procedures.

You will be provided with a full training programme, but some knowledge of the needs of children and young people with disabilities and/or experience working with children and young people with disabilities at the point of application would be very useful.

Required qualifications:
• GCSE Grade A – C in Maths and English or a qualification that is equivalent or higher
• To already have, or to complete a qualification at Level 3 in Social Care within 18 months of appointment.
