We are making great progress and keeping a clear focus on the fact that Middlesbrough Children Matter. We want to develop a workforce that is highly skilled and motivated, working in an environment that is fertile for excellent practice.
We are seeking two Team Managers for our specialist Looked After Children’s Services to help us continue the work we have started.
We are looking for managers who are able to help sculpt the service moving forward, those that are experienced in managing improvement and working with Social Workers to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families.
We want to hear from those who believe they have the skills required to continue to make improvements in our service, securing permanence for children in a timely way and embedding high quality social work practice.
We want leaders who are able to work within a wider system, who can support service development across all of children’s services and who are able to keep a clear focus on outcomes for Looked After Children. We take our Corporate Parenting responsibility very serious here at Middlesbrough Council and want the best leaders to be a part of the team to ensure that this is maintained.

We have a strong values based culture which empowers senior leaders to deliver change, create and deliver meaningful plans, and make a real difference to the lives of residents.
We are looking for an exceptional individual with the experience, knowledge and tenacity to help us deliver on our improvement journey.
