First Class Supply are currently experiencing very high demand for Cover Supervisors in the North Tyneside area.
Roles are available for a range of full and part time hours, meaning we are able to provide you with a position that suits your lifestyle. For those interested in longer term positions, we will be happy to discuss potential roles.
As a cover Supervisor, you will be required to cover lessons where the class teacher is absent. The work will already be set, however you will be responsible for classroom management and safety of pupils. You may also be required to work with smaller groups of pupils, offering further support in the lead up to exams.
Previous experience in the classroom is desirable, however if you are confident leading groups and can follow instructions then we would love to hear from you. Those with experience in any of the following would be of particular interest:
• Sports Coaching
• Youth Work
• Drama Groups
• Military / Police
To apply for this position you must:
• either be an experienced Cover Supervisor, or hold a degree in addition to having significant experience of working with young people, ideally in a classroom environment
• have the skills to manage challenging behaviour in the classroom
• be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable
• be flexible to work at short notice as and when the need arises.
