This newly created role, which is part of the council’s senior management team, will play a significant part in leading transformational change to ensure the people of Eden are receiving the best possible services. The post is the council’s deputy s151 officer and has overall responsibility for Financial Services, HR, Business Support and procurement. The post-holder will work strategically with the leadership team, elected members and partners whilst also demonstrating a supportive, hands on approach and a commitment to developing the teams and services they lead.
We expect you will be a CCAB qualified accountant and have a thorough understanding of the s151 role. You will be able to show that you continually seek and develop new ways of working to bring innovation and improvement to services, drive collaborative working and build a culture which empowers teams to succeed. You will also be highly motivated with a desire to achieve excellence, forward thinking with the ability to translate objectives into action and be able to shape and deliver change.
