This post is based at the centre of the council in the Resources Directorate which has key responsibility for managing the council’s money and people, as well as ensuring that democratic decisions are well informed and legally sound.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a HR Advisor within the Council’s Adults and Communities Directorate HR Advisory Team.
As a Human Resources Advisor, you will support the Senior HR Advisor for the Adults and Communities Directorate working with a team of HR Advisors covering a full range of HR activities.
The successful candidate will have-:
• An understanding of current and future people issues affecting local government and the wider public sector.
• An excellent understanding of employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience of supporting and influencing senior managers and HR staff in all aspects of people management.
Proven experience of implementing organisational change.
• Highly effective oral and written communication skills.
• A flexible approach to meet ever changing demands.
Experience of organisational change, industrial relations issues and TUPE transfers would also be advantageous.
This is a varied, busy and exciting role; the successful candidate will need to be flexible, confident and committed to delivering a comprehensive HR Service.
