This is an exciting opportunity to help us lead the way in building a more inclusive, stronger
economy in the North of Tyne. We are seeking a Programme Officer to support the design
and delivery of important projects to help people find and thrive in work, develop their skills and prosper.

The North of Tyne Combined Authority (NTCA) is a partnership of three local authorities:
Newcastle, North Tyneside, and Northumberland and a directly elected Metro Mayor. Our
inclusive economy team works to make sure opportunities for green, sustainable growth
reach everyone in our communities. Leading on skills, employability, and inclusion projects,
we develop policies and programmes which address poverty and disadvantage and help to
reduce inequality.

The successful candidate will prioritise their time to support the team to successfully deliver
the national DWP Kickstart Programme across the North of Tyne area. We are looking for a
dynamic self-starter with excellent project management, communication, and organisational skills, with an ability to work within a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders, at both local and national level.

We are looking for people who are committed to making a real difference to people’s lives.

At NTCA, we don’t just accept difference, we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our team, our mission, and our residents. NTCA is proud to embrace diversity and equal opportunity in a serious way. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be.

If you are interested in this opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
