An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Electrician.

The hours worked are 39 per week, 2 of which accrue as up to 12 stand-down days per year, to be taken as directed by management.

With your proven track record in domestic and commercial electrical installation, you will primarily be working in a busy repairs and maintenance electrical section within Durham County Council establishments.

You will also be required to work on major Durham County Council construction projects carrying out electrical installations.

Experience on maintenance and contractual projects in industrial and commercial buildings is essential, along with the ability to:

work on your own and within a team
diagnose electrical problems
install and repair electrical systems
inspect, troubleshoot and conduct tests

Required Qualifications:
• Electrical Apprenticeship.
• City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

The successful applicant for this post will be required to apply for Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.

Due to the requirement to drive a County Council vehicle in this role, appointment will be subject to the production of a valid driving licence for the required category of vehicle and the satisfactory completion of an in-house Driver Induction Assessment.
