Further Information
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and inspirational teacher of Music.
The Performing Arts department is led by a music specialist and is thriving, with a reputation for excellent teaching and learning. All students study music at Key Stage 3 and an increasing number of students have been choosing to continue their studies at Key Stage 4 where students achieve excellent results in BTEC Level 2 in Music. We are also expecting to introduce music at post 16 in September.
The department has a range of resources including an IT suite with Mixcraft and Sibelius, a studio with Ableton Live, 2 class sets of keyboards, a range of guitars, drum kits, ukulele and Djembe’s.
We have a growing team of visiting peripatetic staff offering a range of instrument tuition, who actively support and liaise with the department in supporting the curriculum. We offer a number of enrichment opportunities, including annual productions, a choir and numerous bands. Students are frequently involved in local events within the community and are showcased in county based music ventures on a regular basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our newly appointed Headteacher to work alongside a highly supportive governing body, and an incredible group of staff who will always go the extra mile for our students.
