Walker Riverside Academy, is looking to appoint a highly motivated, outstanding Science Teacher to raise standards by leading the development of teaching and learning across
Key Stage 3 and 4 in Physics.

Our most recent OFSTED report in September 2017 judged the school’s overall effectiveness as good. Of particular note to inspectors in Science was the impact of strategies that have improved students’ writing and providing opportunities for students to reflect and learn from their mistakes. We are now pushing to achieve outstanding and recognise the need to develop specialist areas within our Science Faculty.

To be successful you will have high expectations of yourself and those around you, a clear vision for Physics and be passionate about developing Science Capital to improve outcomes and life chances for our students. You will be an outstanding practitioner with the vision, energy and drive to ensure teaching is of the highest standard across all key stages to ensure rapid improvement in curriculum development, student progress and achievement. With a suite of purpose built science labs boasting a range of specialist equipment and technologies for students to use, the opportunities are endless.
