As a Business Administration Apprentice in Pension Services, you will develop skills, knowledge and experience working in Corporate Finance & Commercial Services.

Your role will be to provide support to the council’s busy Pensions Administration Team to calculate and pay LGPS benefits for our members, providing advice and support through a telephone helpline and on-line portal to scheme members and employers, processing and interpreting a high volume of data and supporting the development and use of technology to ensure benefits are correctly calculated.

The apprenticeship will be based at County Hall, Durham but you may be required to work at any council workplace within County Durham.

You will be studying towards the Business Administrator Level 3 via Derwentside College.

You must have 4 GCSE’s at Grades A-C/9-4 or hold an equivalent and relevant qualification and possess good communication skills with the ability to work in a team and on your own initiative.

It is anticipated that interviews will be held week commencing 3rd May 2021.
