The Role:
Various fixed term posts; 12 months, 9 months and 6 months
To provide housing related support to vulnerable people on a one to one basis. This includes providing practical support to set up and sustain a tenancy, help with access to welfare benefits, assistance with debt issues, help customers to maintain independent living, become a successful part of their community and look at future aspirations. Ensure customers are safe by adhering to safeguarding procedures, relevant legislation and policies, taking a multi-agency approach.

The Person:
Show emotional intelligence in dealing with the needs of customers. Passionate about working with vulnerable customers to improve their lives. Have good IT skills and be diplomatic, assertive and credible and able to work collaboratively with a wide range of groups to achieve best practice outcomes for customers. Ability to deal with conflict effectively and bring problems to a satisfactory conclusion. Work flexibly across the City, including carrying out home visits to customers. (all legal, health and safety measures considered)
