About Us

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Occupational Health Technician in our Occupational Health Unit based at Tyne and Wear Fire and rescue Service Headquarters.

The role will involve working with a small in house Occupational Health team and supporting them in the delivery of an exceptional Occupational Health service to all employees. The expectation is that you will have a polite and professional approach, the ability to multitask, provide a positive presence in the workplace and have a can do attitude.

About the role

We are recruiting an OHU Technician who will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a variety of health screening programmes which include clinical activities such as blood pressures, health promotion, drug screening, base line screening and any other appropriate OH service that may be required.

You should be self-motivated and have a proactive approach to work. You need to have a good attention to detail and be IT literate including use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

The successful candidate would have a good understanding of medical confidentiality and ensure all individuals are treated with respect, dignity and privacy.
