Some of the main roles of the job are: - To be responsible for working with homeless households accommodated pursuant to duties owed under the Housing Act 1996, Part VII, to ensure that settled accommodation is secured and sustained. - To provide support to homeless people refered by the Homelessness and Housing Options team and be responsible for the day to day managment of the accommodation. To be responsible for the day to day management of residents within the council’s Temporary Accommodation. - To maximise the client’s income to ensure that they have the maximum capacity to meet their financial commitments - To effectively liaise and manage the relationship with customers, both internal and external, partners and stakeholders - To be responsible for the security and management of the hostel and its fixtures and fittings We are offering: - A starting salary of £22,183 - £24,491(Band 5) - Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme - A wide range of staff benefits including a competitive annual leave provision - Flexible working arrangements For further information about this vacancy, please contact Vicki Flint (vicki.flint@northumberland.gov.uk) for an informal discussion.
