The Governing Body and Head Teacher are seeking to appoint appoint an exceptional Early Years Lead to lead the Early Years provision at Colegate Primary School. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a creative and innovative teacher to shape EYFS!
The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Headteacher, staff and Governing Body to provide outstanding learning experiences. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic professional who is passionate about Early Years and has the ability to build the provision with ‘Fun, Creativity & Achievement’ at the forefront of all panning. We want our Early Years to be full of creative and engaging learning chances that encourage pupils to become inquisitive, confident, and life-long learners
About the role
As a member of the school’s Senior Leadership Team, you will participate in the strategic leadership and management of the school and will be responsible for the quality of teaching and learning across Early Years and transition into Y1. The EYFS Leader will also be responsible for a whole-school core subject and work across the school to lead this specific subject
We are looking for a teacher and leader who:
Is a good and outstanding classroom practitioner within the Early Years who may already have some leadership experience within their setting, or someone who is ready to take the next step in their career.
The leader will have:

the pursuit of excellence
Excellent inter-personal and leadership skills as well as the ability to inspire and challenge colleagues
Proven experience as an effective good and outstanding classroom teacher
Have the ability to lead aspects of school improvement and ensure that all children are given opportunities to excel
Excellent communication skills and a good sense of humour
Passion for creating an innovative, imaginative EYFS curriculum based upon active learning
Is confident to create a child-centred curriculum and learning environment
Has successful experience of planning, teaching and assessing in EYFS
Is able to work closely and liaise effectively with Y1
Aims to ensure that each individual child’s developmental needs are met, and overcome any barriers to learning
Works well as part of a team and is willing to participate fully in all aspects of school life
