An opportunity has arisen for 2 Funding Project Appraisal Officers to work with the Partnership & Community Engagement Funding Team and the Area Action Partnerships (AAPs) until 30 December 2022.

Durham County Council’s Area Action Partnerships (AAPs) give local people and organisations a say on how our services are provided. There are 14 AAPs that cover the County. AAPs are partnerships that consist of members of the public, representatives for Durham County Council, town and parish councils, police, fire, health, housing, business, and voluntary organisations.

The focus of these roles is to support the development of an ambitious Towns and Villages programme across County Durham to direct resources to deliver physical regeneration improvements or initiatives that support business improvements through local partnership working.

The post holder will support the Principal Partnerships & Community Engagement Funding Officer to help develop proposals that reflect the priorities of the Towns & Villages fund and undertake detailed appraisal of these schemes to ensure they are robust, financially sustainable and meet the financial regulations of the Council.

Candidates should hold a Level 5 qualification or equivalent together with having experience of working in partnership with both statutory and voluntary and community sector partners to achieve tangible results.

Interviews are scheduled to be held via Microsoft Teams week commencing 17 May 2021.
