It’s an important time to be joining the Housing Solutions Service within South Tyneside Homes. Responsible for a range of services relating to the end to end void process, Housing Solutions has achieved some fantastic outcomes for customers since it was established, but has faced challenges of the last year and this role is integral in supporting our recovery, driving performance improvement and supporting customers.

As Voids and Allocations Manager you will ensure our continued success, get our performance to where it needs to be and deliver services that ensure tenancy success, with positive outcomes for the range of customers who rely on us.

Sitting within the wider Housing Solutions Service, the Voids and Allocations Team are responsible for the advertising and allocations of the homes we have available to rent. This is a customer focused service, supporting people through the moving process, ensuring clear communication and support so that they can take up an offer of a home in a timely and efficient manner.

You will lead and inspire a team of Officers to be responsive to customer needs and provide exceptional service along with performance that strives to be outstanding.

We are looking for someone with a real passion for making a difference, who looks outside their own service area to build effective partnership that make a lasting difference. If you are someone with experience of working in a social housing empty homes and allocations service at a management level, has knowledge of legislation and best practice, is performance driven, can use marketing techniques to stimulate demand for homes and possesses clear leadership skills which can inspire and develop your team and work as part of a wider team to instil confidence then this is the role for you.
