Full time role:
38.5 hours per week, to be worked in a shift pattern of 12 hour shifts.
We have a great opportunity for Project Workers to join our fantastic Resettlement team in Gateshead.
The role is to support the delivery of the Gateshead Assessment Centre. The Assessment Centre is a same day access accommodation service for people who have exhausted all housing options within the local authority pathway and are at risk of sleeping rough. The service will operate 24-7 receiving individuals who have been referred in to the service. This post will be responsible for welcoming individuals who have been referred to the centre, providing an induction into the service and making them feel welcome and safe. The induction process will be the first step in ensuring any support needs are highlighted and our multi-agency and co-located day provision are engaged with the Service User the following morning. This is the first service of its type in Gateshead.

You should be caring and compassionate and have an inherent determination to see things through and a refusal to give up on people. Ideally the successful candidate would have 2 years’ experience of working in a supportive role preferably in housing services or a similar field.
