‘Staff morale is strong. Staff are unified and motivated’
‘Staff say the headteacher and other leaders are ‘genuine’ in their attempts to lessen
workload and improve well-being’ Ofsted January 2020

Northfield School is a large 11-16 school and specialist sports college. We are an ambitious and inclusive school with state of the art facilities and interactive technology in a well-resourced newly refurbished main building and a separate new Year 7 school.

Following an inspection in January 2020, Ofsted judged that the school continues to be good and acknowledged all the positive work being undertaken to improve it further. This is a great time to join the school.

Following the promotion of the current postholder, we wish to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational Assistant Headteacher. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Curriculum Leader with a proven track record of excellence in leading and managing a successful English Department. The successful candidate will lead a large, talented, enthusiastic and experienced team. The post will also involve leadership responsibility at whole school level, determined by areas of interest and expertise.

The appointed candidate will play an important role in the future strategic development of Northfield and will provide proactive support to the Headteacher in realising the shared vision for the school.

We can offer you:

• enthusiastic, dedicated and motivated colleagues
• a happy and welcoming school where relationships between staff and students are strong
• excellent opportunities for CPD
• a staff health and well-being programme
• a warm, friendly and positive working environment where everyone is valued.

An official application form and further details are available on our web page www.northfieldssc.org and should be returned to HR@northfieldssc.org

Alternatively, applications are also accepted by post (FAO Catherine Frost). NB: we do not accept CVs.

Visits to the school are welcome by appointment; please call Catherine Frost on 01642 557373 or email HR@northfieldssc.org

The school is committed to safer recruitment practice and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
