Do you want to work in a successful school, as part of a progressive and energetic MFL Faculty? Are you unapologetically passionate about the teaching of languages?
We seek to appoint a well qualified, enthusiastic and committed teacher of MFL to teach French from September 2021. For the right candidate, there may also be the opportunity to teach German. Our vision in MFL is to inspire our students with a love for speaking and understanding another language. At Whickham School MFL results are strong, with around 69% of all pupils studying either French or German at GCSE. The percentage achieving grade 4+ in languages (89%) was in the highest 20% of all schools in 2019. The MFL faculty prides itself on a culture of teamwork, excellence and continuous improvement.

Understands and values the use of restorative practices.
Is determined to make a positive difference in the lives of young people.
Is supportive of our inclusive and diverse nature as a school where differences are celebrated.
Our aim is to ensure every young person is the best they can be and whilst we have already achieved much in achieving our goal, we recognise that there is so much more we can do.
