We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Customer Liaison Advisor within the Housing Property and Construction service.

The successful applicant will be motivated, have an ability to multi-task and possess a good understanding of working in a professional environment.

If successful, you will be joining a committed team of Customer Liaison Advisors who has raised standards of Customer Service levels to all stakeholders within North Tyneside.

You will be the site-based out in the community working closely with tenants, the Site Manager and contractors at the forefront of planned housing schemes. Being the main contact for our customers dealing with enquires, complaints and complements. Providing notifications and information to stakeholders on works scheduled to take place in their home and be the point of contact throughout the process.

In order to do this role, you will need excellent customer care skills with a proven track record of face to face customer contact demonstrating the ability to overcome challenging situations and conflict resolution.

The ability to prepare and write reports is a factor of the role as well as excellent record keeping is essential, as it the ability to build relationships.

The postholder must be able to meet the travel requirements of the post, which involves travelling from site to site across the borough. Any candidates driving their own vehicle must have a valid driving licence and insurance. The role also requires the need to use a pool-van for some duties. Reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled candidates.

The successful applicant will need to undergo asbestos awareness training, complete CSCS certification and the role requires a standard DBS check.

Previous experience in similar post in social housing sector or equivalent is desirable. As is an understanding of the needs of vulnerable, under-represented tenants and hard to reach groups.
