North Tyneside Council is seeking to recruit a fully qualified Swimming Instructor to deliver our School Swimming and Learn to Swim Programme based at Hadrian Leisure Centre Wallsend.
The main duties are to deliver swimming instruction in line with Swim England standards and industry best practice to both school children and customers enrolled on our very own swim development programme. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent customer care skills, provide a friendly service, create an environment that encourages repeat custom and you must be able to work effectively as part of a team with a passion for ongoing professional development and service improvement. Duties will include, promoting a positive image of North Tyneside Council, encouraging participation in the swim programme, recording and maintaining registers and attending meetings.
Candidates must hold a ASA/Swim England level 1 and level 2 swimming teacher’s qualification.
Please note, this post requires an enhanced DBS disclosure and a medical clearance.
The position is a static term time only over 195 days contract, working 24.75 hours per week over 4 days, 30 minute unpaid lunch break when working over 6 hours. You would be required to work the following hours each week:
Monday 10.15am to 7.45pm
Tuesday 10.15am to 7.15pm
Friday 10.15am to 3pm
Saturday 7.45am to 10.15am
