Applications are invited from practising and committed Catholic teachers for the post of Headteacher. The Governors seek to appoint a committed, experienced, and enthusiastic Headteacher with senior management experience.

At St. Mary Magdalen’s RCVA Primary School we aim to provide the highest quality education for all in a nurturing, supportive, vibrant, and inclusive learning environment. We are seeking a Headteacher with the ability to lead our school in these changing times. We need someone with integrity, drive, and determination, but also with empathy and understanding of the needs of our diverse school family. The Catholic Faith is at the heart of our community and we believe that every child, whatever their background or ability, is valued and deserves the best possible start in life.
Applicants will need to provide leadership of a high quality in the academic, pastoral and management fields and be able to show evidence of the successful implementation of change. Furthermore, the Headteacher will be required to engage the school with the ongoing academisation transitioning process that requires the school to become an academy member school by July 2022.

Where our roles are customer facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
