Make a difference for children and families.

Are you an experienced communications and marketing professional looking to make a difference through your work? Well, County Durham Fostering Service are looking forward to welcoming you.

As our Communications and Marketing Officer, you will be key to helping find fostering families for children who can no longer live at home with their families, transforming the lives of these children forever.

You will be required to work effectively with the staff across the service to continually develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy on behalf of the Fostering Service, building the profile of Durham County Council Fostering Service and establishing it as the first choice for anyone considering becoming a foster carer.

This unique opportunity offers the right candidate the chance to not only make a real difference to families, but to shape the future of the Fostering Service and make their mark professionally using their skills, experience, passion and personality.

Location of the post will be flexible, as the postholder will be working across the county. However, the Fostering Service is based in Spectrum, Seaham so the postholders main office base will be Seaham.

Required Qualifications: Educated to degree level in Communications/Marketing or relevant area.
