This is a time of exciting change in Redcar and Cleveland and we would like to invite applications for a Team Manager (Practice Manager) post within the Protection and Support Unit.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed individual, to be in charge of a social work team undertaking statutory duties of safeguarding children and working with children in need and their families to achieve best outcomes, alongside promoting new ways of delivering flexible and relevant services.
Your role will involve the on-going development of the team, building on excellent partnership arrangements to ensure that effective support is provided to families. In turn, you will join a supportive and forward thinking management team who are passionate about improving the life chances of children and young people. As an authority, we are committed to providing high quality services and offer an excellent working environment valuing supervision, training and professional development.
The successful candidate will have:
- A relevant social work qualification
- At least 4 years’ post qualifying experience as a children and families’ social worker
- Legal knowledge and court experience
- Experience in supervising people.
