An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Horticultural Social Enterprise Support Worker to assist supporting adults in a Day Centre service providing work-based day opportunities for adults with disabilities focusing on social inclusion and choice.

The post holder will be required to support vulnerable adults accessing voluntary and employment opportunities through social networking and social enterprise, the position includes working outdoors supporting care customers using a range of tools/machinery associated with horticulture.

The post holder will be required to liaise with customers to produce landscape estimates ensuring materials are organised and the works are completed to a high standard. The post also includes operating a range of tools and equipment associated with care and horticulture, ensuring all care and horticultural records are accurate and up to date, this will involve using a PC.

The post holder will be required to provide personal care & practical support.

The post also requires working flexible on a rota basis, including working occasionally on a weekend and evenings.

The successful candidate will either hold a NPTC PA1 & PA2 certificate in spraying or be willing to work towards this award.

Candidates must possess a Level Two Horticultural qualification. Some experience in a care profession would be advantageous.

Applicants should possess a full driving licence.

This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
