We are looking to recruit 3 Part-Time Level 2 & 1 Part-time Level 3 Youth Support Workers for our Universal and Children with Disabilities Service to work evenings (occasional weekend and midweek days during school holidays), each session 2.5 hours;. Starting salary will be £10.83 Level 2 & £11.50 Level 3 per hour.
This Youth Support Worker role offers an exciting opportunity to work informally with young people in a range of settings including sports fields, streets and estates, Youth Centres, schools, colleges and voluntary agencies etc. as part of Redcar and Cleveland's Early Help Youth and Community Service.
The post involves working alongside a range of partnership agencies in order to engage with young people in a centre based provision around Redcar and Cleveland. We are looking for applicants to work as part of a team within our Youth Service using their experiences to support young people and address any issues that might affect them in their day to day lives.
You will preferably have experience of working and engaging with young people and have a real commitment to improving outcomes for them. You will need to be enthusiastic and creative and have a flexible approach to responding to the needs of the service and young people.
